Landing Page Redesign

Travel sites are constantly being utilized to compare prices and to find the best deals, but when your travel website lacks visual stimulation, it is extremely hard to retain customers. Studies show that 94% of all first impressions are design related and that great visual design leads to higher usability ratings.

Wireframing

While creating the wireframe, I wanted to keep the simplistic feel of the website while adding much needed visual elements. The large image will capture the attention of users. Additionally, displaying a visual search bar will not detract from the main objective of assisting the user in finding their travel destination

Fesenmaier on persuasive designs for destination websites. The results of this study indicate that the participants were able to make quick judgments on tourism websites and that inspiration and usability were the primary drivers evoking a favorable first impression. By adding visual stimuli, customers will stay longer on the site, thus, converting more visitors into buyers.
